Fate Intercepted
The 6 Stages of Grieving Self-Loss

Fate Intercepted is my personal journey of resilience, reinvention, and rediscovering purpose after life took an unexpected turn. Following a brain aneurysm and the long-term neuro-fatigue that resulted from surgery, I had to redefine what success meant to me, embrace new limitations, and find fulfilment in unexpected places—and that's how I discovered the joy of knitting.

This book is for anyone navigating change, whether through illness, age, circumstance, or personal transformation. We all evolve, and in the process, we often lose parts of ourselves—our identity, dreams, and the future we once envisioned. And with that loss, we can experience grief.
Through my own experience, I identified six stages of self-loss—Survival, Helplessness, Bargaining, Acceptance, Internalisation, and Adapting. In this book, I share reflections on each stage and how moving through them can lead to a life of intention and meaning.

At its heart, Fate Intercepted is about acceptance, adapting, and ultimately, thriving.
